Petal & Pigment / Studio notes
Five colors, one cohesive page
Use Compass bloom to try a repeatable color plan.
Open Compass bloom. Its studio palette begins with terracotta (#cf734c), ochre (#e3ae63), muted green (#758b73), light sage (#b8c5a2), and cream (#eed8ae). You can reproduce the original study with “See the color study”, then “Use this palette on my canvas”. That action can be undone.
1. Give each color a job
Try terracotta on every other large petal. Use ochre on the petals between them. Repeat muted green on the outer tips. Give the center one quiet color and use light sage on the small beads. Leave shapes white if you prefer more open space.
2. Look at the whole shape
Zoom out with Fit before changing your palette. Repeated colors make distant shapes feel related; a contrasting central color draws attention inward. These are visual choices, not fixed rules.
3. Make one change at a time
Select a custom color, fill one shape and compare. Undo returns that shape to its previous color; Redo restores the change. A new fill after Undo creates a new direction and clears the old redo branch.
