Petal & Pigment / Studio notes

About the original artwork

A small collection with room for your own decisions.

Petal & Pigment is an original coloring studio for adults. The sixteen square compositions and eight bookmark designs were created for this site with purpose-built SVG geometry: closed petals, leaf shapes, polygonal mosaic cells and simplified everyday objects. The drawing code and color studies were developed with AI assistance.

No competitor artwork, characters, stock drawings, logos or external SVG files are used. Botanical drawings are decorative interpretations, not botanical identification guides.

How the collection is made

Each page begins with a distinct composition: a lotus fan, a three-flower bouquet, a tiled wave, a tea setting. Curves are sampled into closed polygon paths so the exact same shape can be colored on screen and drawn in a PDF. Region totals on the cards count the actual fillable shapes.

Made for creative practice

Simple, Balanced and Detailed describe relative shape size and density in this collection. They are editorial labels, not time estimates. Coloring here is a creative activity; we make no medical or therapeutic claims.

Use your finished pages

You may download, print and share your colored results for personal use. Please credit Petal & Pigment when sharing the original line art. The square collection does not grant a license to resell the uncolored artwork as a separate collection. The eight new bookmark designs have separate personal and commercial use permission, explained on the bookmarks page.
